Sermon text: Philippians 2:5-11
Summary: Paul commends the “attitude . . . of Christ Jesus” to the Philippians for their imitation. As he does so, the apostle describes the Christ who humbled himself to death on the cross and was exalted to the highest place in the heavens. The Lord Jesus is described in both his humility and his exaltation, in his perfect humanity and his full deity. He is rightly called Lord, and to him all creation must and will bow.
